New heroes, more well - equipped than those before, come together to confront a mechanical monster. As they explore Tunguska afresh, the changing landscape brings more uncertainty. The Gears of Corruption expansion for Expeditions adds risk and danger elements. There are secret bonuses on map tokens and a corrupted mech roaming the land. To fight these threats, the expansion offers 2 new mechs, 4 new character/companion pairs, and components for a 6th player. It also speeds up the early game by giving players starting resources and a hero worker that can act as any type of worker.

To start playing with this expansion, first, set up the game with the new components like the 2 new mechs and add the components for the 6th player if you're playing with a full group. When exploring the map, keep an eye out for the map tokens with secret bonuses. The hero worker can be used as any type of worker, so use it smartly to speed up your early - game progress. When facing the corrupted mech, team up your new character/companion pairs to take it down. Remember to shuffle all the new cards well before starting the game to ensure a fair play.
